Homkor interfaces with various community groups and local government officials on urban-infill, public-private development projects. The strong partnerships between the public, private, and community sectors, Homkor has built are known for successfully bringing many groups together to complete multi-million dollar projects. In recent years, Homkor has acquired historic properties in Kansas City, Missouri and Jacksonville, Florida for adaptive reuse and revitalization of the downtown urban cores of each city.
James Wiss
Homkor President and founder, James Wiss has brought rewards to countless investors for over 30 years through his deft mixture of marketing, planning, and a thorough understanding of real estate. Formerly President and CEO of Dartmouth Corporation, Mr. Wiss has earned a well-deserved reputation as a specialist in the acquisition, rehabilitation, build-out, and lease-up of apartment houses, office/warehouse complexes, and research and development facilities. Mr. Wiss’ extensive background in accounting, marketing, planning, financing, and construction management is the cornerstone of the Homkor portfolio. In addition to his work as a developer, partner, and manager of numerous projects, he is an active and much sought after consultant for major developers and property owners in the Colorado, Kansas, and Missouri markets.
Ellen Wiss
As President of Homkor Florida Inc. and Vice President of Homkor of Missouri Inc, Ellen Wiss has over three decades of experience in the real estate industry, primarily with large multi-family residential projects. She is skilled in property marketing, management, sales, acquisitions, leasing, management, and green building initiatives. She empowers clients to optimize and extract maximum value from their properties.
Rebecca Clevenger
As Chief Financial Officer, Rebecca Clevenger CPA, MBA, possesses expertise in all areas of financial reporting, cash management, and financial system analysis. Her distinctive background includes holding a current Certified Public Accountant license, a strong background in real estate accounting experience having worked for the owner of Kansas City’s premier retail and office district, an extensive and diverse accounting background, and experience working with government agencies.
Stephanie Mukai
As Chief Administrative Officer, Stephanie Mukai has over twenty-five years of experience in multifamily asset management and over ten years of experience in property accounting. She is recognized for her proficiency in budgeting, portfolio management, and financial performance optimization. She is accuracy driven and her meticulousness is key in providing superior service to clients.
Jean Gilbo
As Director of Retail Management, Homkor clients trust Jean Gilbo to manage the essential components of commercial building projects. Jean collaborates with clients to coordinate, estimate, and improve each property she manages. Jean has more than 30 years of experience in managing commercial properties and knows what it takes to streamline the entire process.
